Birds are People 2 picks up where my last successful book on bird photography picks up (Birds are People Too). There are close to 100 pages of full color photographs. Over 100 images of wild and captive birds can be found. Birds from Ohio, Florida, Texas and New Mexico makeup most of the bird photography in this book. You'll also find images from the National Aviary in Pittsburgh, PA. Unlike Birds are People Too, there is no technical data or hints on becoming a better bird photographer. Birds are People 2 is 100% pure bird photography.

Author Information

Doug West lives in the Cleveland, Ohio area and has been a bird photographer since 2006. His images have appeared in local publications and calendars, Birds and Bloom magazine, Popular Photography and the North American Nature Photographers Association's Current magazine. In 2009 the NANPA picked his Cardinal image to appear in their 2009 Expression Journal, where one judge remarked 'they have never seen an image of a cardinal on his back like this'. Doug has also published three bird photography related books. He gives lectures and teaches others in being better bird photographers using the moniker 'Birds are People Too'.
