She has to her credit meritorious service of over 17 years in teaching, research, and administration in the discipline of agricultural crop production and management. She has a doctorate in agronomy with specialization in crop production and crop modeling. Her primary area of research is crop modeling, plant nutrition, organic agriculture, and abiotic stress management. She is extensively involved in academics, research and extension, and institution building activities, such as being the director of Amity Institute of Organic Agriculture for the past one decade. She has been recipient of BIRAC—Grand Challenges India Award as Co-PI for Agri-Nutrition and also Young Scientist Award in 2016.
