So, the Author tried to make it in simple language without changing the essence of Bhagavad Gita.About Bhagavad Gita: - Bhagavad Gita is the Supreme Hindu text. This is often referred to as 'The Song Of God. This is part of the great epic 'Mahabharata'. This is seen in the chapters 23 - 40 of Bhisma Parva of Mahabharata. It has 701 Shlokas [verse].- Bhagavad Gita event took place at the Kuruksetra battlefield just prior to the commencement of the war. It is predominantly a holy discussion between the Pandava prince Arjuna and his guide & charioteer Sri Bhagavan Krishna. At the start of the war between Pandavas and Kauravas, Arjuna saw the armies of the both sides in Kuruksetra. Both the sides included his fathers, grandfathers, teachers, maternal uncles, brothers, sons, grandsons, friends, father-in-law, and well-wishers. By seeing this, Arjuna got confused whether he needs to engage in war or not. He became distressed with much grief.- The thinking Arjuna had was, 'Is it moral to kill, that too to kill his own kinsmen for the sake of getting the kingdom and the pleasure?'. He raised these questions to Sri Bhagavan Krishna. Further, he said to Sri Bhagavan Krishna that he will not engage in war in citing these and many more dilemmas of life including the divine and sinful actions. So, he looked upto Sri Bhagavan Krishna 's counsel. This turned out to be a Holy discussion.- The setting up of the war, Arjuna's questions, Sri Bhagavan Krishna 's answers and the whole narration of their discussions constitute the whole of Bhagavad Gita.
