As a professional childcare provider ... This book does an excellent job reinforcing the importance of buckling up, not for fear of being hurt in an accident (a concept that is too abstract and potentially too scary for some) but in a manner that empowers the child to choose and cooperate. A clever way to reinforce the positive message of safety to kids with great pictures and easy dialogue. The illustrations are delightful and both of my young nephews loved reading along with me and insisted we did so repeatedly! It's one of those pictures books which will never get old... An adorable short picture-book, which shows Mummy and Ollie taking part in daredevil adventures - and where, as a big boy, he will always need to 'buckle up'! The colourful illustrations are delightful and add a level of humour for the parent to enjoy, while reading the story...
