Overview

"It is generally a good idea to return to the classics in any genre. This also goes for UFO literature. Rereading a book after ten or twenty years is a rewarding experience. You will discover new data and ideas you didn´t notice before. The reason, of course, is that you are, in many ways, not the same person reading the book the second or third time. Hopefully you have advanced in knowledge, experience, intellectual and spiritual discernment. A good starting point is to read the UFO books and articles of those early days in order to understand the deeper mystery involved in what happened during that era. The earliest mentions of the term ""flying saucers"", on the American news, appeared in articles about skeet shooting, and came from writers seeking a synonym for the clay disks. Today's meaning of ""flying saucer"" didn't land in the collective consciousness of the American public until the summer of 1947 with the Mount Rainier incident. However, one of the earliest report on UFO following the Mount Rainier incident, that have been mostly ignored up to the present, it is housed at the University of Iowa as a thesis paper written in 1948. It is entitled: The ""Flying Saucers"" Episode, and was submitted by State University of Iowa journalism graduate student, Emil Earl Wennergren, as part of the requirements for his Master of Arts Degree in Journalism. Besides providing insight into the fervor of the time and the effect the Mount Rainier incident had on the American public, there is a glimpse at the Roswell incident. We have republished this title as: The Wennergren Report, with two additional articles of that time: I did see a Flying Disk! by Kenneth Arnold (1948), and ""Flying Saucers"" by T. R. Kennedy Jr. (1947). Saucerian Publisher was founded with the mission of promoting books in Science Fiction, Paranormal and the Occult. Our vision is to preserve the legacy of literary history by reprint editions of books which have already been exhausted or are difficult to obtain. Our goal is to help readers, educators and researchers by bringing back original publications that are difficult to find at reasonable price, while preserving the legacy of universal knowledge. This book is an authentic reproduction of the original printed text in shades of gray and may contain minor errors. IMPORTANT, despite the fact that we have attempted to accurately maintain the integrity of the original work, the present reproduction may have minor errors beyond our control like: missing and blurred pages, poor pictures and markings. Because this book is culturally important, we have made available as part of our commitment to protect, preserve and promote knowledge in the world. This title covered the beginning of the modern UFO era. The work is an authentic reproduction originally published in 1948. This work is an exact reproduction reprinted as facsimile edition. ___Copy and paste the link for our books: https: //saucerianbooks.blogspot.com/ ___"
