Overview"Generation on edge. So, let me lift the rock and sift the detritus of time, not so long ago when Great Britain trumped-up empty praise on Nigeria as the giant of Africa. That praise was just to flatter us. What type of giant, by the way? Nigeria, a savage of no nation, comprised of vicious tribes of murderers. We are giant because they taught us how to falsify census and election results, we are giant of Africa because we have no civil liberties and human rights, where Nigeria is a graveyard for men, women, and children. No one in his right mind should call Nigeria giant of Africa except if he is in disguise to milk her resources. The real fact is that Nigeria is a collection of human species, put in a laboratory, and she is no giant of any greatness. Anything less is a bright shining lie. If conquerors are to be regarded as the engine- driver of our being and our history, then the conquerors of thought are perhaps the point's men who, less conspicuous to the traveler's eyes, determine the direction of the journey. If there be one principle more deeply rooted than any other in the minds of every Nigeria, it is that they should have nothing to do with conquest. There is no disputing that there was a time when people respect that name- ""Nigeria,"" but not now, especially the outside world. So many things made Nigeria as a nation to sink so low beyond the depth of the sea. Some people in the armed forces became politicians in military uniform; some also became Generals overnight, because they confiscated oil wells in the Niger Delta. Corruption and dictatorship became the order of the day. One people control the armed forces, banking sector, customs, and the country in general. They have no conscience at all. It is, in most men, an anticipation of the opinion of others. Nigeria, a country where its constitution is based on absolutism, which is moderated by assassination. Religion is manmade and not God. In Nigeria religion continues to claim many lives, and our government is not that of laws, but the one made for savages. Many people are missing every day untraced because of a continuous quest for domination because of lack of trust and inefficient leadership to stop the insanity. We have become the corrupt and crime capital of Africa. Also, we have embraced get rich quick syndrome up to a point that some of the clergies are thieves and liars on the pulpit. In fact, if the pope is a Nigerian, I will cease to be a Catholic. We have been the recipient of bounties of heaven. We have grown in population, manpower, and resources, like no other nation in black Africa, but we can't create wealth, and we can't manage wealth, and for that, our wealth started to manage us as corruption possessed us. We have become too bookish and title conscious, like a man that has faith but no works. We have decided to embrace the culture of killing our fellow countrymen, women, and children due to our political quest and over what one thinks. Can anybody tell me the future of Nigeria? I know you may not be able to tell me in details. An average Nigerian does not know the extent to which Nigeria is decaying. I mean the rate of decay. If I may ask again, at what point shall we start to ratify the ills that befell on us since the independence of 1960? Do we at all see the danger that is approaching? Nigeria is dying, but we don't really know how she will die. ""The growing hostility, and the mentality of ""born to rule"" by the Fulani's and the British mentality of seeing Nigeria as an ""empire of necessity,"" from the day that she fooled the world that she granted Nigeria independence that never was, became the bone of contention. Nigerian, since independence has been under ""economic assault"" by Britain and their caretaker, ""The Sokoto Caliphate,"" mishandling the affairs of Nigeria, into becoming a colossal wreck....."
