Table of ContentsReviewsMs. Brazier does a great job of bringing a light-hearted approach to a subject that so many deal with (including myself). It is therapeutic to know that others are going through the same thing you are. Maybe there really is truth to the phrase -Laughter is the best medicine- (along with a good dose of xanax)! She balanced her great sense of humor with an obvious compassion for those who deal with a very real obstacle in their lives. I would recommend it to anyone going through any kind of hardship in life... we all need a good laugh now and then! --Brian V.Brazier is the 21st century version of the 20th century Erma Bombeck - hilarious yet full of insights.--Susan S.This book is so funny! Shayna does an amazing job showing through her own struggles what it's like living with anxiety. She does it in a hilarious way but also give some insight to how she copes. It's was great read that left me feeling good and personally as one who deals with anxiety with a little peace knowing I'm not the only one who's had that thought!--Celeste PorterWow! I could NOT put this book down! Well, except for the times I had to to laugh my guts out! This book was entertaining, absolutely, but also gave me an insight into my family members minds who struggle with anxiety. I would recommend this to anyone struggling with anxiety or someone who just wants a fun, humorous, good read!--Sarah GordonI was hooked after the introduction! While I don't suffer from the anxiety that the author does I know people that do. I love how she is able to see humor in situations that I'm sure weren't so funny at the time, like the deer and the school bus story, oh my, I was literally laughing out loud! It is a great read and an inspiration to others that might also suffer with anxiety, there is hope!--Leslie PritchardDelightfully funny book ! Shayna shares real and personal experiences that show she not only has a significant challenge with anxiety, but that she has also developed sure-fire ways to deal with it. And who understands it better than someone who has experienced it first hand ? Her personal accomplishments in life, which are evident yet down-played throughout the book, prove she has not let anxiety -win- or define her as a person. Shayna takes what could be debilitating fears and combats them with her own strategies shared from a hilariously comical perspective. Part of the reason I think it's so funny is that many of us can relate to her fears. But it also feels comforting to know there is someone out there who can relate to ours. Get the book- it will make you laugh and lighten up, and most likely empower you.--Melodee MuellerThis book is hillarious and a must read! Even if you don't struggle with anxiety we all have someone in our life who does. My 14 year old son who struggles with anxiety loves Shayna's way of describing those feelings in hillarious ways and finding healthy ways in copying with it. It makes him feel that he is not alone in this journey and that humor can be the best way of lighten his load! -Is not the load that breaks you down is the way you carry it-... After all laughter is the best medicine!--FernandoThis was such a fun and refreshing read! I laughed until I had tears streaming down my face! It is truly a glimpse into the brain of anxiety--from one anxious thought to the next (worst) possible scenario (and every side road in between)...Brazier kept me in stitches from beginning to end. She also shows that although we cannot always choose our circumstances, we can choose how we react--and laughter really is the best medicine!--Jill Reed Author InformationShayna was born in Iowa but raised in Idaho. She comes from a very loving and anxious family. She spent some time in South America as a young adult trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life. She has always had a passion for writing and kept a steady blog of her everyday life for a while. Apart from being an author, Shayna Brazier has had many unique jobs including: picking up trash at the county landfill, cleaning bathrooms, teaching high school music and art, writing parking tickets, mowing lawns, calling insurance companies to see why they didn't pay, glueing stones into charms, selling utilities to new movers, and paying bills. Given her wide array of skills she has decided to pursue anxiety full-time. When she is not working, Shayna enjoys massages, facials, and napping in a hammock on the beach. The other 364 days of the year she endures chasing her kids around and trying to keep up with the house. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
