OverviewThis second book of the Anskar of Norrland series. Anskar of Norrland is the nom de guerre of a Christian whose family roots lay among the jarvi, among the small lakes of Tornedalen, east central Norrbotten, Sweden, on the Arctic Circle, the area drained by the Torne River. The roots of Anskar's faith are in decades that he spent in exile in the desert. This text is set in prison though I fear that it will be rejected solely because I am a prisoner, a reason widely held to justify rejection all over the world in this age. The author knows of none other who has gone thus far, to this extreme in an allegorical view of Obadiah The two major themes of this little text are the Christian duty to love and that the Christian life is one of inner conflict between the flesh and the spirit. The conflict between the flesh and the spirit is represented as occurring both in the heart of the believer and in the Christian's external life.
