Author Information

Gianni Menichetti is an Italian artist and poet. He was born in Siena, Italy, and since 1971 he has lived in the wild Valley of Il Porto in Positano on the Amalfi Coast. He is the author of VALI MYERS-A MEMOIR (Golda Foundation, 2006), about his life with the legendary Australian artist Vali, who first came to Positano to live in 1958. Gianni is the author of several books of poems as well as books in Italian. Romy Ashby has lived in New York City since the early 1980s and has worked in bookstores, movie theaters and publishing houses. Her work includes books, articles, zines, photos, and drawings. Between 1999 and 2009 she was the editor of Goodie Magazine and runs the interview zine Housedeer.
