OverviewBlonanserin is a relatively new atypical antipsychotic drug Blonanserin is used for the treatment of schizophrenia. Blonanserin is approved by CDSCO (2012). Blonanserin is not yet official in any pharmacopoeia (I.P., B.P., J.P., E.P. and U.S.P). Literature survey reveals RP-HPLC, UPLC and GC methods for estimation of Blonanserin. Literature does not reveal any official analytical method as well as visible spectrophotometry method for analysis of Blonanserin. So it was thought of interest to develop simple & sensitive chromatographic as well as spectrophotometry methods for the estimation of Blonanserin in synthetic mixture or tablet dosage form.
