Overview

"This is the first premium-quality illustrated biography of Amelia Earhart, published to coincide with upcoming major motion picture ""Amelia"", starring Hilary Swank, Richard Gere, and Ewan McGregor. Amelia Earhart was the first woman to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean, the first person to fly solo across the Pacific, and the first person to cross both oceans alone in an airplane. She was also a photographer, poet, hospital worker, truck hauler, fashion designer, student of science, social worker, and mechanic - not to mention a wife, friend, and lover. ""Amelia Earhart: The Thrill of It"" celebrates all facets of this woman who has become an American icon featuring never-before-seen photographs, artefacts, letters, documents, and maps."
