Author Information

The Author, Dr. Osman Elsayed Ibrahim, was borne in Sudan in 1935; and completed his undergraduate education in Wadi Saidna Seconday School, in Omdurman. He graduated from the University of London in 1963 with B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering; and obtained his Ph.D. from the University of St. Andrews, in Scotland, in 1969. Dr. Osman was a lecturer in the Faculty of Engineering in the University of Khartoum from 1970 and up to1978; and during the period 1983-1990, he joined, as a consultant, the Arab Fund for Economic and Social Development in Kuwait. In 2001, he was the first appointed Secretary for Electricity Regularity Authority in Sudan, a post that he held until 2006. Dr. Osman is married and has two sons and two daughters.
