Peter Williams is Professor Emeritus, School of Ocean Sciences, Bangor University, in north Wales, UK. He has held previous appointments at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institute (USA), University of Southampton, the Bigelow Laboratory in Maine, and the University of Gothenburg (Sweden). Ian Joint is PML Fellow with extensive experience in marine microbiology at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK. Carole Llewellyn is a Principal Scientist working on marine chemistry and algal biotechnology at the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK.
