He has particular interests in both rural transformations and the changing conceptions and practices of international aid. He is currently Professor of Development Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand. Warwick E. Murray is Professor of Human Geography and Development Studies at Victoria University of Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand. He has held university positions in the UK and Fiji. He is currently President of the New Zealand Geographical Society and past-President of the Council for Latin American Studies of Asia and Oceania.
