Overview

Advances in Phlebology and Venous Surgery Volume 1 contains chapters covering many of the most interesting areas of Phlebology. Chapters are all written by international experts in their own fields. Subjects covered include: endovenous thermoablation (Radiofrequency / Laser / Steam) non-thermal endovenous ablation (Glue / MOCA) discussion of LEED venous leg ulcers - due to superficial and deep venous disease transvaginal duplex ultrasound for the diagnosis of venous reflux pelvic veins - diagnosis and treatment for reflux and obstructive disease as well as other relevant subjects. This book will have something of interest for everyone who is interested in Phlebology and/or Venous Surgery. This book is produced by COP College of Phlebology and some of the contents were presented at the COP International Veins Meeting in London in March 2017. The College of Phlebology annual conference is held each March in London, UK.

This explores all techniques used to treat venous insufficiency disease. I also learned new scanning protocol we now implement in all of our venous ultrasounds, Popliteal Vein Compression! After reading this chapter, I found 3 positive patients in 3 weeks! This alters traditional treatment plans of venous ablations, if PVCS is not treated 1st, this could lead to further patient problems down the road! So thankful that I ordered this book!!!
