Bob Ossler, BS, MPA, DPM After years of marginal performance in school due to undiagnosed ADHD, Bob Ossler gravitated to high-risk occupational choices as an adult (emergency medical technician, paramedic, firefighter, and air-sea rescue diver). Years later, Ossler found his niche in pastoral ministry and emergency services chaplaincy. He served as chaplain in New York City after the terrorist attacks in 2011 and coauthored Triumph Over Terror, a book about his interactions with broken-hearted people he met at Ground Zero. Ossler now serves as associate pastor of First Baptist Church on Pine Island in Bokeelia, Florida and volunteer chaplain for the Cape Coral Fire Department. Janice Hall Heck, MED, MA, MPA Janice Heck taught children with special needs for 20 years in NJ, MA, and CA. She worked as elementary principal with the Kenai Peninsula School District, Soldotna, Alaska (7 years) and served as early childhood principal at Hong Kong International School (7 years). Heck has advanced degrees in special education, public administration, and biblical counseling. Now retired, Heck writes, edits, and blogs. With Bob Ossler, she coauthored multiple award-winning Triumph Over Terror (Blackside Publishing, 2016). As a teacher she authored Evaluating and Improving Written Expression, a Guide for Special Educators (Allyn & Bacon 1974, ProEd 1984, 1999). Now retired, Heck writes, edits, and blogs.
