After 40 years as a corporate marketing and design director, Ron pursued a lifelong dream of teaching art and is currently a professor of painting, drawing and printmaking at a number of universities in the Pittsburgh, Pa. area. His work has been displayed in many local galleries, private collections and museums in the Pgh. area and is a member of the Associated Artist of Pittsburgh.An avid artist and writer, Ron's scope of work covers, abstract expressionism, fantasy, surrealism, impressionism, portraits, technical and children book illustration and even cartooning. His main genre however is in the exploration and use of metaphors, images and symbols presented directly to the collective unconscious of the viewer to act as a catalyst to challenge their current understanding of social, political, environmental, spiritual, and even personal reality and to help encourage creativity.
