Overview

We don't read over his shoulder, peering into obscurities, we read with him, joining in the life and presences he catches, in his poetics of the real and the communal. This is one of his best books. Which is saying something. He's written wonders before. Reader, take this book with you, on your travels, wherever you may be going. This is a book for all seasons, all reasons and all readers.

Reviews

"Denis Stokes, a man crafting poetry, and continuously being born and reborn from a continuum of verse that envelopes him like a watery womb. Rustin Larson, Author of 'Russian Lullaby for Brother Donkey'. ""Generous, gracious, patient, warm, vividly descriptive, poised and at ease in his singing lines, without nullity or bitterness, Denis' seamless conversational writing creates an immediate rapport B.W. Powe, Author of 'Where Seas and Fables Meet' ""In this new collection by Denis Stokes, the mirror talks back like the jester to the king. The words create images that taste, touch and give you wings to fly over the ocean, but the truth still lies in the laughter, the smiles of recognition and the humble light of love."" Csilla Toldy, ""'Vertical Montage""."
