Author Information

Rabbi Gary S. Creditor has been a Jewish leader for over forty years. During his twenty years serving as the spiritual leader of Temple Beth El in Richmond, Virginia, he envisioned and created a community mikvah, participated on countless Jewish, interfaith, and civic boards and communal agencies, and in 2007, was tapped by Virginia Governor Tim Kaine to memorialize students and faculty who died at Virginia Tech. A member of the International Rabbinical Assembly of America, the Washington Board of Rabbis, and New York Board of Rabbis, Rabbi Creditor was ordained by the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. In 2003 he received his Doctorate from JTS, recognizing more than 25 years of Rabbinic service to the Jewish People. He is a passionate and engaging Jewish leader, a teacher of great wisdom and warm pastoral friend to many.
