Overview

Journey into the wonder that is to be found in the age-old story of Christmas with this beautiful little gift book. Bringing together thought-provoking and inspiring poems and illustrations, A Quickening retells and reframes the well-known Nativity story in a fresh way. Beginning and ending with important questions about stories, A Quickening invites us to encounter this story for ourselves. Weaving together different voices, forms and perspectives, this collection of poems forms a rich tapestry that offers moments to pause and reflect during the busiest time of year. Beautifully designed with pen and ink hand-drawn illustrations, this is a book to treasure or give as a meaningful gift this Christmas, for those who wish to experience this story anew and for those who do not know the story at all.
