Overview

"""It was a night before christmas When all through the town Every creature was stirring And shocked at the sound Of a maid in a stable Her cries did resound As she labored by manger With cattle around The lowest of places The savior was born His mother the object Of many a scorn"" ""A Night Before Christmas"" was written just in time for the Christmas season and comes with a timeless message of hope. Japanese American writer, Akemi Rhea, makes her publishing debut with a Gospel-focused, intergenerational story of the birth of Christ. This beautiful rendition resonates with a familiar tone and title and is aimed at families for reading together during the holidays. ""A Night Before Christmas"" is filled with beautiful illustrations of the Nativity by Artie Megibben, which pull the audience into the timeless and true story of Christmas. It is the Gospel in poetry form. This winsome pairing of word and art is a symphony for the soul and is sure to become a family favorite."

"""Akemi Rhea's poem draws us toward the wonder of Christmas by drawing us to The Wonder Himself. In this poem the plan of true redemption unfolds. God's rescue revealed in powerful word and beautiful art compelling the listener to fall into the arms of Jesus--to fall in love with Jesus. I can't wait to share this poem with my family and friends during Advent, and watch a new tradition be born. But I'm certain I'll reflect upon the beauty of this poem well beyond December. I thank the Lord for Akemi and Artie. They have given us a treasure."" MARK DAVIS, SENIOR PASTOR, PARK CITIES PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, DALLAS, TX ""Enjoy this delightful poem that expresses truth in love and draws us into greater worship and adoration of our Savior."" LLOYD KIM, COORDINATOR, MISSION TO THE WORLD ""Akemi has provided a beautiful retelling not only of Christmas, but of the great story of salvation. This is an easy read with little ones on your lap at Christmastime."" TIM MCCONNELL, LEAD PASTOR, FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH, COLORADO SPRINGS, CO"
