Understanding diversity and ethnicity can bring us closer to the protection of the ecosystem and, ultimately, ourselves and the other species as well. These poems were written in the beginning of the twenty-first century. Right now, significant changes are taking place. The author therefore writes about coping with expectation, duty, and pleasure during our uncertain times, because living means adapting and evolving while being content. Author Information

Marta Atougato is a Portuguese author born in Lisbon in 1969, where she also lives. She has a degree in anthropology and a masters degree in sociology. She was a university teacher for ten years, currently teaching adult learners in the areas of citizenship, social and personal development, and English. She started writing in her teens and published a poetry book in her mother tongue in 2010. Personally, she is patient, dedicated, and funny.
