She graduated from Edwardsville High School in Illinois and attended Valparaiso University for two years before transferring to University of Texas at Austin. After graduation, she was a social worker in Houston and Galveston before attending graduate school in Audiology. Her first job as an audiologist was in Regina, Saskatchewan where she met her husband, Rob. She continued her career in Calgary, Alberta where three children were added to the family. In 1990, the family moved to Portland, Oregon where they spent 24 years, and Barbara started her career as a watercolor landscape artist. From having a booth at Portland Saturday market, a well known arts and crafts market in Portland, she went on to open galleries and also sell her landscape prints to shops in Oregon, Hawaii, Arizona and Colorado. Rob and Barbara moved to St. Louis in 2014 where they opened another gallery. They live in Lafayette Square, a beautiful Victorian neighborhood in St. Louis, and at their cabin Colorado, where she is still making art. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
