In IEC, he was Chairman for IEC 62309 (dependable reuse of hardware) and IEC PAS 62814 (dependable reuse of software). Dr.-Ing. Ferdinand Quella is Polymer Chemist and headed with Siemens laboratories for Material Science, Total Quality Management and Product-related environmental protection. In ZVEI, he headed the working groups for Ecodesign, and in Standardization, he worked with ISO for Ecodesign (ISO/TR 14062) and in VDE for reuse.
