OverviewA Fool's Gnosis is collection of personal essays inspired by the extreme tensions of 2020. These essays explore a range of metaphysical, cosmological, alchemical, social, and magical topics. The first essay is a reflection on coping with paranoid schizophrenia during the turbulent 2020 pandemic. This memoir is an honest and philosophical take from the authors personal experience. The second essay explores a method of decolonising language and the imagination, which doubles as a justification for the authors style and inspiration. The third essay explores personal safety and self defence with regard to the explosion in spiritual groups, and the abandoning of community. The fourth essay explores the nature of time, with particular reference to astrological thought, and entertains some new ideas about causality and the machinery of the Universe. The fifth is a deep look at the Solar cycle and its Symbolism. The final essay reviews the authors experiments with animism and dreams. Things become wholly poetic in the fourth quarter, with an appendix of short hermetic essays and aphorisms. Titles 'Essays and Personal Sense-Making during the Great Conjunction of Dec. 2020', the work is not concerned with the laboratory arts of chrysopoeia or gold making, but with the internal alchemy, the transformation of the soul.
