Author Information

Sophia Whyte-Givans is a trained teacher with specialization in Language Education (UWI, Mona, 2001). She has taught language and literature at the secondary level, from grades 7 through 11. She has also served as an Assistant Examiner for the Caribbean Examinations Council (CXC's) English Language examination. Though she no longer teaches, she keeps abreast of developments in the education sector and continues to hone her skills by working with her three children to build their language competence.
