Author Information

Chris grew up in Bloomington, MN with three brothers and one sister. As a child, he had many interests but one mainstay was the sport of wrestling in which he immediately fell in love. Under the guidance of a master coach, Chris' early years were decorated with countless local, state and national titles. In high school he was a two-time undefeated state champion, an AWN All-American and earned a world silver medal at the World Championships in Stockholm, Sweden. In college, Chris again earned All-American honors and served as a team captain at the University of Northern Iowa. Chris has spent much of his adult life developing innovative ways to help wrestlers and coaches optimize their time and space so they can maximize their wrestling talents. During 40+ years in the sport, Chris has coached at all levels from youth to D-1 college. His philosophy and systems have captured the attention of many as he's been featured on numerous national wrestling stages including Take Down Media with Scott Casber (Des Moines, IA) Dan Gable International Museum's Mat Talk (Waterloo, IA) and Mat Time Weekly Radio Show (Union City, PA) His writings have been published in several media outlets such as the Des Moines Register, USA Wrestling Magazine and Amateur Wrestling News. In 2015, Chris was inducted into the Minnesota Wrestling Hall of Fame for his prep wrestling achievements. Chris currently lives in Marion, IA where he continues to write wrestling books, teach lessons, perform clinics, and serves as a consultant to wrestling coaches and teams across the country.
