"Judging from the title of this book ""The 60 Most Powerful Minutes in Your Day, "" many things will normally run through one's mind as he wonders what hour of the day happens to be the most powerful for man? What happens in that hour? And is there a specific hour that happens to be the most powerful for everyone? However, going through this book, you will realise that Jesus told His followers to pray daily for at least one hour. I'd like you to read His words for yourself: Then Jesus went with them to a place called Gethsemane, and He told His disciples, sit down here while I go over yonder and pray. And taking with Him Peter and the two sons of Zebedee, He began to show grief and distress of mind and was deeply depressed. Then He said to them, my soul is very sad and deeply grieved, so that I am almost dying of sorrow. Stay here and keep awake and keep watch with me. And going a little farther, He threw Himself upon the ground on His face and prayed saying, The 60 most powerful minutes in your day by TABOT HENRY 2 My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass away from me; nevertheless, not what I will (not what I desire), but as you will and desire. I find it very interesting to see that though He met all of his disciples here asleep, He spoke just to one man, Peter, thereby reducing prayer to a very personal responsibility. It is very encouraging for me to realise here, as a matter of fact, that one man can effectively and productively engage the altar of prayer. But the question remains, why did He tell them to engage with Him for at least one hour on the altar of prayer? He did so because He knew that the hour when we give ourselves wholely to prayer will always be the most powerful hour of the day, given that in prayer, we are talking to GOD- the most powerful being ever in existence. Prayer is the privilege we have to build an intimate relationship with God Himself. It is the platform we have to express our love to Jesus in worship and it is the opportunity we have to harness and maintain an inseparable oneness with the Holy Spirit in fellowship. Prayer is an awesome act, to say the least. And rightly engaged in, is capable of delivering into our hands all the longings and desires of our hearts. It then doesn't cease to amaze one how that with such great potentials and power on the altar of prayer, yet very few people in our day ever see the need to actually engage the altar of prayer as they attend to the The 60 most powerful minutes in your day by TABOT HENRY 4 varied and complicated issues of life and destiny, forgetting to know that destiny is no children's game and life is no entertainment parlour.
