Kennedy Ng (Enyi-K), born May 30 of 1961, is a pianist, conductor and composer from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. He is known as a great Latin, jazz and classical pianist with superb technical ability, and has played and recorded with many world-famous singers and musicians. Some of his main musical influences are Michael Camilo and Chick Corea. Enyi received formal classical training, and by age 17 he was playing with the National Philharmonic Orchestra of the Dominican Republic. Enyi studied for nine years at the National Conservatory developing his strong classical abilities, he was also heavily influenced by the bop tradition and the contemporary jazz of Chick Corea.As well as being an outstanding performer, Enyi is a talented composer and has written the scores for several Spanish musical events such as El Merengue se llena de bolero 2006, recorded live in the D.R., Premios ACE at Lincoln Center in 2000, Festival Metropolitano de la Cancin at the Manhattan Center in 1995, and the International Festival de la Cancin OTI in 1990. He has performed in various prestigious halls in the U.S.: Segundo Festival del Merengue at Radio City Music Hall 1978, The White House in 1981 for Cuban independency day, and for 15 years he was a music therapist for all psychiatric hospitals in Hudson Couty NJ. In 2003 Enyi was the metropolitan area judge director of Gigantes del Maana (an Univision voice contest). In 2006 he served as the musical director of ""Tropicana,"" a replica of the most prestigious Cuban musical show in the 60's Ritz Theater in New Jersey. In Oct. 2004 Enyi-K was recognized by USA Congress; congress man Hon. Robert Menendez as the musical maestro of the year as part of the NJ Hispanic Parade celebration 29 edition. In 2010 Enyi-K received the ACE award as the best musical arranger and was recognized by USA HUD in the same year, for his dedication to the heritage of the Hispanic music culture in the United States of America. Enyi has also performed and conducted many famous Latin singers and musicians such as Tito Puente, Celia Cruz, Johnny Pacheco, and Jos Jos, Enyi-K holds a master's degree in music education earned at NJCUOn September 2009 Enyi-K performed at the grand opening of the Union City High School Art Center as the very first artist to perform at that location sharing the stage with Legend Tito Puente's son, Tito Puente Junior.On October 14 of 2010, Enyi-K was the musical director of ""Homenaje a Fernando Villalona,"" Cuando Se Nace dolo, as part of the Dominican Rep. Superintendencia de Bancos 63rd anniversary celebration. Enyi produced and arranged all scores for most of greatest popular singers of the D.R.; the performance took place at El Teatro Nacional DR.In 2016 Enyi-K released Evolution Symphony No1 recorded in Prague Czech Republic with the strings session of the Prague Philharmonic orchestra and musicians from symphony orchestras around the world; obtaining the nomination as the best musical arranger in the international awards Premios Soberano 2018 DR. Same year Univision an international Broadcaster TV station awarded Enyi-K ""Orgullo Nuestro"" as one of the most prestigious artist in USA 2018 as part of the DR independence week celebration. As part of the artistic recognition in 2018, Enyi-K is accepted as voting member of the Latin Grammys Academy- LARAS. In 2018 Evolution Symphony No1 was taken as the main musical background in the celebration Gala of the 70 anniversary of the nation Reserve Bank of the Dominican Republic; using the main theme of Evolution in the radio and TV promotion campaign.Enyi-K have been the music professor for 2018-19 Music Camp in NY and NJ of Patricia Logrono's Academy""; one the most prestigious music academy in DR. Enyi-k last musical project is ""Prescripcin Para Pensar"" (Prescription to think) released in December 2019 in which he was nominated as best musical arranger/orchestrator 2019 in Soberano's International awards.
