Antwan's programs have provided mentoring, counseling, advisement, college preparation, and academic support to students from around the globe. He has worked in pre-collegiate programs as a volunteer, mentor, tutor, counselor, coordinator and Director. Antwan's programming and outreach efforts have helped countless high school students successfully gain access and graduate from college. Antwan's programming has proven to be successful for students from urban, suburban, rural and international back grounds. This is evident from his nomination for the National Science Foundation Presidential Award for Excellence in Mentoring Antwan's success has made him a sought after consultant. Antwan is a former consultant for the New York State Higher Education Services Corporation College Access initiatives in Western New York. The mission of the initiative was to provide financial literacy and FAFSA assistance to high school seniors in the city of Buffalo. Antwan is also a former school board vice president specializing in college preparation and after-school programming of students. Antwan's programming best practices have been published in the Opportunity Matters Journal of Access and Opportunity in Education and recognized by the Pell Institute for the Study of Opportunity in Higher Education. Antwan is currently Director of D' Youville College's Upward Bound program and consultant for pre-collegiate initiatives.
